Through TEGA, we are supporting the strategic objectives of the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to develop leadership and a stronger voice among young women and adolescent girls.
Girl Effect is delighted to be working with the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to expand our TEGA networks.
TEGA (Technology Enabled Girl Ambassadors) is our girl-operated mobile research tool, providing accurate, real-time insight into girls’ lives in hard-to-reach communities. The partnership with DFAT is based around three main pillars: Firstly, it aims to improve research in order to inform programme design, monitoring, learning and results. Secondly, it seeks to increase agency and leadership for young women, while the third aspect of the partnership is in contextualising innovations for our TEGA network.
